THE STORM STILLED
MATTHEW 8
18Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave a command to depart to the other side.
MARK 4
35And the same day, when evening was come, he said to them, Let us pass over to the other side.
LUKE 8
22a Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake.
MATTHEW 8
19And a certain scribe came, and said to him, Master, I will follow you where ever you go. 20And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has no where to lay his head. 21And another of his disciples said to him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 22But Jesus said to him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.
MATTHEW 8
23And when he had entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. 24And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. 25And his disciples came to him, and wakened him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. 26And he said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. 27But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
MARK 4
36And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him just as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37And a great storm of wind arose, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38And he was in the back part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awakened him, and said to him, Master, do you not care that we are perishing? 39And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40And he said to them, Why are you so fearful? how is it that you have no faith? 41And they were exceedingly afraid, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
LUKE 8
22b And they launched out. 23But as they sailed he fell asleep: and a storm of wind came down on the lake; and they were filled [with water,] and were in jeopardy. 24And they came to him, and awakened him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25And he said to them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying to one another, What manner of man is this! for he commands even the winds and water, and they obey him.

THE DEMONIACS IN GADARA
MATTHEW 8
28And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, two possessed with devils met him, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. 29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time? 30And there was a herd of many swine feeding a good way off from them. 31So the devils asked him, saying, If you cast us out, allow us to go away into the herd of swine. 32And he said to them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
MARK 5
1And they came over to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. 2And when he had come out of the ship, immediately a man with an unclean spirit met him out of the tombs, 3He had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not even with chains: 4Because he had been bound with fetters and chains often, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. 5And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. 6But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped him, 7And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the most high God? I adjure you by God, that you do not torment me. 8For he said to him, Come out of the man, you unclean spirit. 9And he asked him, What is your name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. 10And he besought him greatly that he would not send them away out of the country. 11Now there was a great herd of swine feeding there near to the mountains. 12And all the demons besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. 13And immediately Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and were choked in the sea (they were about two thousand).
LUKE 8
26And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee. 27And when he went out to land, a certain man met him out of the city, who had demons a long time, and wore no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. 28When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God most high? I beseech you, do not torment me. 29(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For often it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he broke the bands, and was driven into the wilderness by the demon.) 30And Jesus asked him, saying, What is your name? And he said, Legion: because many demons were entered into him. 31And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. 32And a herd of many swine was there feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would allow them to enter into them. And he allowed them. 33Then the demons went out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
MATTHEW 8
33And those who kept them fled, and went their way into the city, and told every thing, and what had happened to the one possessed of the devils.
MARK 5
14And those who fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. 15And they came to Jesus, and saw the man who had been demon possessed and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. 16And those who saw it told them what had happened to him who had been demon possessed, and also concerning the swine.
LUKE 8
34When those who fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country. 35Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man out of whom the demins were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. 36 They also who saw it told them by what means he who was possessed of the demons was healed.
MATTHEW 8
34And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they asked him that he would depart out of their coasts.
MARK 5
17And they began to ask him to depart out of their coasts. 18And when he had come into the ship, he who had been demon possessed besought him that he might be with him. 19But Jesus did not allow him, but said to him, Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and has had compassion on you. 20And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how many great things Jesus had done for him: and all men marveled..
LUKE 8
37Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again. 38Now the man out of whom the demons were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,39Return to your own house, and show how great things God has done to you. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done to him.
MARK 5
21And when Jesus had passed over again by ship to the other side, many people gathered to him: and he was near the sea.
LUKE 8
40And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.
